A Taste of Herefordshire
We are really proud of Herefordshire produce, and there are so many restaurants and pubs that celebrate everything Herefordshire has to offer. If you are someone who loves to discover the local cuisine whilst on holiday, then you won’t be disappointed. Here in Herefordshire we produce some of the best produce in the country, to include Hereford Beef, Cider, Gin, Cassis, Crisps, Ice Cream, Wine, Cheese, Homemade bread and pastries, and much much more, not forgetting the beautiful blackcurrants and apples grown here on the farm. If you are staying with us for a short break or even a long stay, then we really recommend a visit to the following restaurants, we promise you won’t be disappointed…
A Celebration of local and seasonal delights
The Cider Barn, Pembridge. Located just a 10min drive from the properties. Their ethos is to source everything locally, their food is absolutely beautiful, and a celebration of the seasons, thus the menu changes regularly to reflect what will be most delicious at the time. The restaurant is within a beautiful barn conversation, with open fires and occasionally tasting menus and live music nights. Head chef Sophie is really passionate about what she does and this shines in her and her teams food.
The Riverside, Aymstrey. Again, just a short 15min drive from the properties. A truly fine dining meets relaxed local pub atmosphere, we think the ideal combination! With several open fires, very relaxed dining in a formal yet cosy setting, with a really friendly team catering to your needs. The food again is heavily based around being the best in season and of course locally sourced, some of their food is even grown onsite! From garden to plate in a matter of moments. Their menus are a delectable mix of hearty, soul food and light and delicate dishes. Something for everyone. Andy is an innovative chef who delivers the most fantastic and exciting menus, yet not straying too far from the classics we all know and love.
The Stagg, Titley. Even closer this time, just a 10min drive from the properties is this wonderful restaurant, who have been renowned for their food for many years now. Once again, they champion local produce and create dishes around that, making nearly everything onsite, to include delicious bread. Their food is often the best of the classics, served in a formal setting and relaxed atmosphere.
Prices for a three-course meal at any of the above restaurants will vary from £30 upward, always worth every penny, food is such an important part of our lives, and with good food comes good conversation and good times! So let the good times roll!
